The Phaeno Science Center in Wolfsburg, Germany was submitted to an architectural competition by Zaha Hadid in 2000. The building is supported by struts allowing visitors to walk under the entirety of the structure. Although I am not usually a fan of concrete buildings (Boston City Hall), the form transcends the limitations of the material into a fantastical and futuristic composition.
